BGP Communities

Peers may tag their routes with the following communities to control policy via the route servers. The default behaviour is to advertise all prefixes to all peers (63830:63830). Please ensure you follow the instructions below to set them up correctly.

You may verify the communities are received by selecting your prefix via our Looking Glass.

Standard Communities

Community	Action
`0:<peer-as>`	Do not advertise to `<peer-as>`
`63830:<peer-as>`	Advertise to `<peer-as>`
`0:63830`	Do not advertise to any peer
`63830:63830`	Advertise to all peers
`1:<peer-as>`	Prepend once to `<peer-as>`
`2:<peer-as>`	Prepend twice to `<peer-as>`
`3:<peer-as>`	Prepend thrice to `<peer-as>`

Extended Communities

For Extended Communities, prepend rt: to the community of choice, for example:

Large Communities

For Large Communities, prepend 63830: to the community of choice, for example:
